Watermelon Margarita Recipe - Cashmere & Cocktails

It’s Margarita Monday, amigos! Honestly, I can’t think of a better way to end my first day back at the office than with one of these watermelon margaritas. Refreshing, sweet and tangy, these bad boys almost make me forget that I have to go back into the office again tomorrow and adult all over again.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • 4 oz fresh lime juice
  • 4 oz fresh orange juice
  • 2 oz simple syrup
  • 1 cup cubed watermelon
  • salt
  • lime zest

Here’s what you’ll do:

  1. Combine salt and lime zest in a small plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and coat with salt mixture.
  2. In a glass jar, add watermelon, lime juice, orange juice and simple syrup. Muddle all of the ingredients together, making sure the watermelon is well squashed.
  3. Add tequila. Fill with ice and stir until combined. Strain into your prepared glass.
  4. Serve and enjoy!
